200 screen prints on polypropylene, hung on clear polycarbonate rods and brackets
Each print 85 x 60cm, installed dimensions variable, up to 10m length

Each one of the profusion of prints that make up Life is unique, created by tossing one of Saunders’ jumpers directly onto the exposing plate. The resulting screen is printed in a single sweep, combining two or three luscious colours in surprising juxtapositions. Although each print is individual and handmade in this low-tech way, full of texture and tiny irregularities, the sheer profusion suggests the mass production of a fashion line. They are displayed hanging on Perspex rods, suggestive of garments on a rail, allowing the prints to interact in shifting layers of colour as the translucent material is illuminated.
